Florence Nightingale: pioneer of nursing
As a young child, Florence Nightingale loved books and numbers more than parties and ballgowns. Because of this, everyone thought she was odd. When she realised how important good nurses are, she defied the expectations of her family and society to become a nurse herself, and paved the way for the nursing profession.
The Great Minds Comics series depicts the childhood and
early years of the world's greatest minds as well as how they achieved their accomplishments!
