When Buster was little more than a puppy, he was abandoned by his heartless familym just before Christmas and left to wander the snowy streets. The poor little dog felt that no one would ever want him again, but at last he was taken in by Mr Merrydew, and given a loving home. Buster was happy at last, and he hoped that he would live with Mr Merrydew for ever -- but on a cold blustery autumn day Buster's quiet and comfortable life was suddenly turned upsidedown...
