When Paul's father brings robot 170 back from the factory, Paul borrows it to help him tidy his bedroom. He discovers that robots can talk and he gives him a proper name - Bob. Paul teaches Bob how to have fun and promises to be his friend. But then Paul's father takes Bob back to the factory.
It is a great book to introduce the artist, Monet, and to reinforce the idea that children should be kind and loving to one and all.
