The war started when the Malloy sisters moved across the river from the Hatford brothers. Still smarting from the boys' latest trick on them, the girls are determined to get even.
Caroline, who longs to be an actress, uses every occasion she can to practice her dramatic technique. When she is given the role of Goblin Queen in the school play and Wally Hatford has to be her footman, she can't imagine anything better.
The boys, however, have a creepy plan for Halloween night. They're certain the girls will walk right into it. If the boys keep getting the better of them, maybe the girls will move back to Ohio. Little do the boys know what the Malloy sisters have in store.
